Content Policy
What you can publish on Bookify, and what you cannot.
Last updated: 2026-04-15
1. Why we have this policy
Bookify is a public marketplace. Anyone in Luxembourg can find a studio, read its profile, and book an appointment. The trust of clients depends on the quality of what is published. This policy tells you what we expect from businesses, reviewers, and anybody who uploads content to the platform.
2. Who this applies to
- Business users, including studio owners, managers, and team members posting profiles, services, galleries, and replies to reviews.
- Clients who write reviews, leave booking notes, or upload reference images during the booking flow.
3. What you can publish
- Accurate descriptions of your business and services.
- Photos of your studio, your team and your work, where you have the right to use them.
- Honest reviews of services you have actually received.
- Reference images you legally own or have permission to use.
4. What is not allowed
You may not publish or upload content that:
- Is illegal under Luxembourg or EU law, including hate speech, incitement to violence, or content sexualising minors;
- Infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, design, or other intellectual property right;
- Identifies a third party (a client, an artist, an employee) without their consent, including names, faces, or contact details;
- Contains nudity, explicit sexual content, or graphic violence;
- Promotes regulated activities you are not licensed to perform (medicine, dentistry, surgery, controlled substances);
- Misleads clients about your prices, qualifications, address, or what your services actually involve;
- Is spam, repeats the same listing, or uses keyword stuffing to game search rankings;
- Impersonates another business, person, or Bookify itself.
5. Reviews
Reviews must be:
- Based on a real visit booked through Bookify;
- Written by the client who attended, not by a third party;
- About the service received, not personal attacks on staff;
- Free of confidential medical or personal information.
We do not remove a review just because a business disagrees with it. We do remove reviews that breach this policy, contain false statements of fact, or violate the law.
6. Photos and uploaded images
By uploading an image, you confirm that you own the rights to it or have permission from the person who does, and that any identifiable people in it have consented to being shown on a public page.
Bookify processes uploaded images (resizing, watermarking on certain pages, format conversion). We never sell your photos or license them to third parties.
7. Reporting a problem
If you spot content that breaks this policy, write to trust@bookify.lu with the URL and a short explanation. We review reports during business hours and act within five working days, faster for serious cases (illegal content, child safety, doxxing).
Copyright takedown requests can be sent to the same address. Include the work concerned, the URL of the infringement, and a statement that you are the rights holder or act on their behalf.
8. What we do when a rule is broken
Depending on severity, we may hide the content, ask you to fix it, suspend the account, or close it. We notify the user where the law allows it. Repeat or serious breaches lead to permanent removal from the platform.
9. Appeals
If you believe a moderation decision was wrong, write to trust@bookify.lu within 14 days. A human will review the decision and reply within ten working days.
10. Changes
We update this policy as our community grows. Material changes are announced in-product or by email.
