Cookie Policy

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help sites remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and (with your consent) measure how pages are used.

Cookies we use

We use the following HTTP cookies. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

CookieTypeDurationPurpose
bk_consentEssential1 yearStores your cookie consent preference so we don't ask again.
__stripe_midEssential1 yearStripe fraud prevention — required for payment processing.
__stripe_sidEssential30 minStripe session — required for payment processing.

Browser session storage (not cookies)

Consumer login tokens are stored in your browser's sessionStorage — not as HTTP cookies. sessionStorage items are never transmitted as HTTP headers, are not accessible by other websites, and are automatically deleted when you close the browser tab.

Key nameClearedPurpose
bk_consumer_tokenBrowser sessionKeeps you logged in as a consumer on sport.bookify.lu or tattoo.bookify.lu. Cleared when the tab is closed.
bk_consumer_refreshBrowser sessionExtends your consumer session without re-logging in. Cleared when the tab is closed.

Cookie categories

Essential cookies are strictly necessary for the site to function — payments, security, and your consent record. These cannot be disabled.

sessionStorage items (not cookies) enable consumer login on vertical sites like sport.bookify.lu. These are cleared automatically when you close the browser tab. You can also clear them manually via your browser's developer tools (Application → Session Storage).

Managing your preferences

You can manage cookies in several ways:
  • Cookie banner — use the banner shown on your first visit to accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the bk_consent cookie.
  • Browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies via Settings → Privacy. Note that blocking essential cookies will break payment processing and login.
  • Email request — email privacy@bookify.lu and we'll help you clear your data.

Third-party cookies

Stripe places cookies on payment pages to prevent fraud. These are essential for transactions to work. Stripe's cookie policy is available at stripe.com/cookies-policy/legal.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other advertising or analytics tracking services.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use. Material changes will be flagged via a renewed consent prompt.
